I’m pleased to announce the launch of two new internet marketing companies:
Profit Factory - packaged internet marketing solutions for small to medium size “brick and mortar” companies
Over the Edge Marketing - a division of Profit Factory catering to adventure sports companies
Profit Factory presents a new approach to marketing support services. In the past, companies and entrepreneurs would outsource marketing tasks to hourly-paid freelance professionals. While some provide a decent value for your money, it is difficult for the client to determine from the beginning what they are receiving for their investment. Additionally, it is hard to ensure your freelancer is working their hardest or billing you fairly when they are telecommuting from a remote location.
Buying marketing services by the “package” changes all that. From the beginning, you know exactly what you’ll receive for your investment. Since you’re paying for measurable deliverables, not by the hour, there is no risk of loss on your part.

As many of you know, I stepped down as editor of Young Wealth Weekly several months ago to pursue new opportunities. Now, I am licensing the Young Wealth Weekly brand, website, and related marketing materials to someone wanting to start their own ezine. This would be a great way to kickstart the launch of your own young entrepreneur-themed ezine: the new licensee would begin with a #1 ranked domain name, established brand name, ezine software, and ready-to-use marketing materials.
If you are interested licensing Young Wealth Weekly to begin your own ezine, take a look at my eBay auction. Bidding starts at just $200 for the 6-month license:

Over the past few weeks, I’ve spent a considerable amount of time developing a comprehensive mission statement, skills analysis, and long-term career plan. (Thanks to Michael Simmons for his advice on this)
After much thought and research, I’ve decided that my long-term business goals include forming two investment companies.
Company #1: Business Acquisition Company
My objective with this company is to purchase small businesses that demonstrate a solid business model and have established cash flow. I believe I have developed a unique method for acquiring these businesses, but that will have to remain secret for now.
This company will be located in the Boston area.
Company #2: Real Estate Investment Company
Again, there are an abundance of real estate investment companies out there today. My success will lie in acquiring properties in a small, yet profitable niche I have discovered. This company will be located in the southwest US, most likely Arizona.
While there may appear to be nothing revolutionary about these ideas, I believe the way I approach them is unique. With the right amount of investment, I expect to become profitable within 2-3 years. Right now, I’m seriously considering taking a year or two off of school (after returning from my year overseas) in order to build these companies.
I’ll be posting more on these as time goes on, but I just want to encourage you reading this right now to take some time to do some long-term strategic planning. You won’t become anything you are not becoming today.

As many of you know, I’ve been working on PalPad since the beginning of this year. It was created out of a need I had for a place to store and manage all the people I met through my day-to-day activities. I was finding that if I did not record these people, I tended to forget about them, and valuable relationships were lost.
This summer, the development of the product was completed, and I began using it in my own business ventures. After using it for several weeks, I began to notice just how effective it was. It’s amazing what happens when you dedicate time to work on the relationships aspect of business.
I’d like to invite you to benefit from the power of relationships by trying PalPad today. There are several plans you can choose from (including a free one), and I guarantee you that time you spend networking will be one of the best investments you’ll ever make into your business.
Since I re-designed my site, you may have noticed a project called “Young Wealth Weekly” in my sidebar. Until today, the link led to a blank page, so I think I should let you in on what’s happening….
Young Wealth Weekly is an ezine for young entrepreneurs. The idea for starting the ezine came to me a couple months ago while talking with my good friends Jesse Lear and Eliot Wasmund. We saw the need for a content-rich email newsletter that contained information young entrepreneurs could use. There are plenty of ezines for entrepreneurs in general, but very few (if any) for 16-25 year-olds.
Each issue will contain:
- A feature article
- A book or product review
- Motivational quotes
- Stock pick of the week
- Q&A with the experts (us!)
Our first issue will go out this Thursday morning, so if you haven’t done so already, head over to the Young Wealth Weekly website, and sign up now!
Over the past month or so, I’ve been impressed with the importance of networking. A big part of this was Keith Ferrazzi’s book, “Never Eat Alone”. That book has had a huge impact on me, but I’ll save that for another post.
There was one big problem that prevented me from building a successful network in the past. Unless I make a point of following up with new contacts, I tend to forget them within a couple days. This of course is very detrimental to building your network.
So I did what I always do when I have a problem: I created a custom product to fix it.
The new tool I created enables me to…
- save contact info
- save background info on my new contact (where we met, what he does, etc)
- save info on what my new contact is doing currently (future conversation material)
- send and track followup emails
- group by keyword for searching later (eg, writer, sales, programmer, etc)
- track my networking progress to date
That tool is called PalPad.
PalPad is…
- simple
- intuitive
- effective
- powerful
- web-based
- free…if you tell your friends
I’ve set up a prelaunch blog for PalPad at www.mypalpad.com. I need you to go there now and sign up for the “PalPad Launch List”. This new tool will be released gradually, and subscribers to the launch list will get priority access as well as other random perks from me.
Solve the missing link in powerful networking: Remember people you meet with PalPal.

I’m running a product naming contest over at Youthcove to come up with a new name for a new (free) product I’m developing.
Come up with a name, and you can win some nice prizes.

The first version of my newest project is finally ready:
RSS Blog Directory
Why another blog directory? I created RSS Blog Directory to be very webmaster-friendly. I will soon be adding tools that allow website owners to take full advantage of the power of RSS syndication. One of the biggest benefits of RSS is that it can automatically provide a website with fresh content, which in turn can increase search engine rank.
So for now, add your blog or RSS feed, and keep checking back for the new features!
